Managing Your Profile Settings

Effectively managing your profile settings in 3Play Media enhances your user experience by tailoring notifications, personal information, and security preferences to your needs.

Prerequisites

  • Active 3Play Media account.

  • Appropriate permissions to access and modify profile settings.

Steps to Manage Profile Settings

Step 1: Access Profile Settings

    • Click your email address located at the top right-hand corner of the page.

    • From the drop-down menu, select "Profile Settings".

You can take the following actions:

 

Edit Personal Information

Step 1: Edit Personal Information

  • Click on the "My Info" section, modify your First Name, Last Name, Job Title, and Timezone as needed.

    • If you’ve updated your timezone and are currently in the process of placing an order in another tab, please restart your order to ensure the timezone update is reflected properly.

Step 2: Apply Your Changes

  • Click "Save" to apply your changes.

Change Your Password

Step 1: Update Current Password

  • Navigate to the "Password" section.

  • Enter your current password, followed by your new password, and confirm it.

Step 2: Apply Your Changes

  • Click "Change Password" to update your password.

Configure Email Notifications Preferences

Step 1: Configure Email Notifications

  • Navigate to the "Email Notifications" section.

Step 2: Adjust Settings

  • Adjust settings for Service Alert Notifications, Uploading Notifications, and Billing Notifications as preferred. 
  • Manage which email alerts you receive based on specific actions or statuses in your account:

    • Service Alerts: Choose to be notified when files with expedited, rush, same-day, or 2-hour turnaround are completed.
    • Status Updates: Get notified about status changes such as completion, rejection, or processing events.
    • Completed Files: Get summary emails about completed services (e.g., captions, audio description).
    • Errors: Choose to receive alerts if a file encounters processing issues (for users with upload permissions).
    • Review Alerts: Opt in to be notified when translation or alignment files are ready for review if those services are ordered.
    • Auto-Upload: Get notifications when files are automatically uploaded from a linked account.
    • Billing Alerts:

      • Invoice Alerts: Required for users with billing permissions (cannot be turned off).

      • Payment Receipts: Choose to receive receipts when invoices are paid.

Step 3: Apply Your Changes

  • Once you've made your selections, click "Save Changes" to apply.

View Permissions

Step 1: View Current Permissions

  • In the "My Permissions" section, review your enabled permissions.

Step 2: Update Permissions

  • To change permissions, please contact a Super User with the "Manage Users" permission enabled.

Set Default Project

Step 1: View and Update Current "Default Project"

  • In the Default Project section, you can view which project is currently set as your default. This will be the project that loads automatically when you log into your 3Play Media account.

  • To change the Default Project, use the dropdown to select a different project from the list of available options.

Step 2: Apply Your Changes

  • Click "Save" to update your Default Project.

  • Personal Information: Keep your contact details current to ensure seamless communication.

  • Password Security: Use a strong, unique password and update it periodically for enhanced security.
