Follow the steps below to set up the captioning integration between Mediasite 7 and 3Play Media. Once set up, caption requests can be sent from MediaSite to 3Play Media and upon completion of the transcription process, the captions are automatically added back to the associated lecture.
Step 1- Log into 3Play Media
Step 2- Navigate to New Linked Account
Navigate to the New Linked Account page by clicking Upload Media > Linked Accounts > New Linked Account.
Step 3- Select MediaSite
Click the MediaSite icon from the list of video platforms and lecture capture systems.
Step 4- Note your Username and Password
You will be directed to a page displaying your Mediasite credentials. Note your Username and Password.
These are the credentials required to communicate with the Mediasite system.
These are not the same credentials used to log into your 3Play Media account.
Step 5- Log into MediaSite
Step 6- Configure and Test Audio Transcription Profile
Click Settings > Audio Transcription Profiles > Add New and specify the settings:
Name: Enter a name for the profile that will help you to identify it easily.
Description: Enter a description
Template: Select 3Play Media
Username and Password: Enter the credentials retried from your 3Play Media account in step 4.
Click Test to verify the integration is working properly once the settings have been specified.
Step 7- Add Audio Transcription Profile
After testing that the integration is working click Add.
Once added 3Play Media will then be an Audio Transcription Profile option for users requesting captions for MediaSite lectures.
