Managing user access is essential for keeping your 3Play Media account secure and organized. This article walks you through how to edit a user's permissions and remove a user from your account—ensuring the right people have the right level of access at all times.
Prerequisites
- You must be a Super User or Project User on a Pro or Enterprise level 3Play Media account.
- You must be a Super User or Project User with the Manage Users permission enabled.
- The user you want to edit or remove must already be added to the account.
Steps to Edit a User’s Permissions
1. Navigate to Manage Users Page
- From the account dashboard, click on the Settings gear icon below your profile name in the top right corner, then under Basic Settings. Navigate to Manage Users.
2. Click the Pencil Icon
Find the user whose permissions you want to change, then click the Edit (pencil icon).
3. Update User Role or Project Access
In the pop-up window, select the permissions you want to update by checking or unchecking the boxes next to each option.
4. Click “Save Changes”
Click the Save Changes button to apply the updates. A confirmation message will appear: Success! The user [user details] was updated!
Steps to Remove a User
1. Navigate to Manage Users Page
- From the account dashboard, click on the Settings gear icon below your profile name in the top right corner, then under Basic Settings. Navigate to Manage Users.
2. Click the Pencil Icon
Find the user whose permissions you want to change, then click the Edit (pencil icon).
3. Update User Role or Project Access
In the pop-up window, click “Remove User”. A confirmation message will appear: Success! The user [user details] was removed!
