Other Language Transcription allows you to upload videos that are in a source language other than English or Spanish and produces a transcript in that source language. Follow the steps below to upload source content directly within the account system for transcription and closed captioning services in the following languages:

Prerequisites
- This service is not available to Express account types
- A Translation profile must be set up prior to ordering transcription in languages other than English or Spanish
- Check your Other Language Transcription Settings prior to uploading files to ensure all of your settings are adhered to. Once you upload files, setting changes will not apply to those files.
| Note: If content contains instances of speech in a language other than what was ordered, the additional language/s will be tagged in the source language. For example, if a German video is upload for German transcription/captioning but contains some moments of French, the French would be tagged [Frnzösisch sprechen]. |

This article details the processing when uploading using the Media Stored on Computer method; however, all menu options that display during the process will be exactly the same regardless of the account system upload method selected. The only part of the process that will vary is the actual uploading of media.
Steps to Order Other Language Transcription from the Account System
1. Click Order Services
After logging into 3Play Media, click Order Services located on the upper, left-hand side of the My Files page.

2. Select Service
Under Choose Main Service select Transcription & Captioning.

3. Select Language
After selecting the service, click the dropdown below The language spoken in your files is. This will be the transcription language submitted for this order.

Once clicked into the dropdown, please select the language spoken (or predominantly spoken) within the media files for this order.

Selecting a language solely pertains to the transcription and captioning service.

4. Select Turnaround Service Level
Next select the desired turnaround service level.

5. Glossary of Terms/Cheat Sheet (optional)
After selecting a turnaround service level, check the box to include a glossary of terms/cheat for this order.

Provide correct spellings of product names, people, technical vocabulary, acronyms, and other terminology occurring in the content that is unique, proprietary, or not widely known to better help with the transcription process.
| Note: The purpose of cheat sheets is not to provide instructions to inform the transcription process but only for providing spellings that are not easily researchable or cannot be inferred by content itself. |
- Cheat sheets can be attached as a 3mb PDF or in a 500 character limit note.

Once a cheat sheet has been provided, click Next.

6. Order Additional Services (optional)
Next select any additional services to be applied to this order.
The services that are available are caption placement and audio description.

| Note: These services will only apply to video files within the order. A mix of video and audio-only can be uploaded together however any these additional services when ordered for audio-only files will be rejected without costs being incurred. |
After selecting additional services, click Next.
7. Add Media Files to Order
Other Language Transcription requests can be made directly within the 3Play Media account system using either the From Media Stored on a Computer, From Link to a Media File, or Linked Account upload method. For uploading via Linked Account, only integrations that allow uploading directly from within the 3Play account system will have the option to order Other Language Transcription.

Media files stored on a computer can be dragged and dropped to be added to an order or they can be selected from your computer's file directory.

Select from Computer
Click Select from Computer to view your computer's file directory.
Select one or multiple files and then click Start Upload.
Drag & Drop
From your computer, select one or multiple files and drag and drop them onto the order form. Click Start Upload and the media files will begin uploading.

8. Select Folder
Create a new folder for where the media files for this order will reside or select an existing folder to store these orders.

- Files can be moved between folders within a 3Play Media project even before services are complete.

9. Review and Submit Order
Please review the services and turnaround times requested on the Finalize Order section of the form. Read the cancellation policy that displays on the right-hand side of the Finalize Order page.
After reviewing the order and cancellation policy, click Submit to complete the ordering process.

Once the Other Language Transcription has been completed, you may order a Translation for the file to be translated into English. See more information on how to order Translation for a file.
