AI Dubbing replaces a video's spoken audio with a new voice track in another language, ordered alongside Transcription & Captioning. This article walks through placing a Dubbing order.
Before You Start
- This service is not available to Express account types.
- AI Dubbing must be enabled on your account. Contact your account manager to discuss using this service.
- A translation profile must be created within your 3Play Media project before you can order AI Dubbing. This can be the same profile used for Subtitles & Translation orders, or a separate one.
- Files must first be transcribed in their original language to create an initial transcript for dubbing. The dubbing turnaround deadline is in addition to the turnaround deadline for that initial transcription service.
- AI Dubbing can only be ordered on English source content.
Steps to Order AI Dubbing With Transcription and Captioning
1. Click Order Services
After logging into 3Play Media, click Order Services on the upper left-hand side of the My Files page.
2. Select Main Service
Select a main service, such as Transcription & Captioning, under Choose Main Service, then select your turnaround time and add any optional order instructions. When ready, click Next.
3. Click Dubbing
Click Dubbing, located under Add Optional Services. Audio Description, Subtitles & Translation, and Caption Placement can also be selected here.
4. Select Languages
Select the languages you want your video dubbed into from the dropdown menu, or use the search field to find a specific language.
5. Select a Package and Turnaround Time
Select the package, Launch, Refine, Creator, or Studio, and the turnaround time for each language. The package determines how much human review, casting, and craft goes into that language's dub.
Not sure which package fits your project? See “Choosing the Right AI Dubbing Package” for a full breakdown. If you don't see a package option next to your languages, your account hasn't been set up for packages yet; contact your account manager if you'd like access.
6. Review Estimated Cost
Review the estimated cost for the languages, and if applicable, the packages selected in the previous steps.
Human-in-the-loop dubbing has a minimum duration of 5 minutes per file. Files under this minimum will be rounded up to 5 minutes.
7. Acknowledge the Refund Policy
Check the box acknowledging that Dubbing cannot be refunded. Once you've acknowledged the policy, click Next.
8. Select a Folder
Create a new folder for the media files in this order, or select an existing one. Files can be moved between folders within a 3Play Media project before services are complete.
9. Add Media Files to the Order
Select the media files for the order. Each selected language and package will apply to every media file uploaded.
Click Start Upload. When your files are done uploading, click Next to review your order.
10. Review and Submit the Order
Review the services and turnaround times requested on the Finalize Order page, and read the cancellation policy shown on the right-hand side. When you're ready, click Submit to complete the order.
What Happens Next
Your files move into production once submitted. You'll be notified when your dubbed files are ready, and can download them from My Files. See “AI Dubbing: How to Download Files” for details.
