Brightcove Live Auto Captioning: Scheduling an Event

Follow the steps below to schedule a live event within Brightcove and 3Play Media once the Live API Key has been added to the Brightcove integration settings within your 3Play Media project.

Live Auto Captioning event scheduling defaults to US-Eastern time unless a new timezone has been configured at the user level and configured for users outside of the US-Eastern time zone.

Please note: The live event must be scheduled within the 3Play Media Live Auto Captioning module at least 15 minutes prior to the event start time. 

Step 1- Create the Event in Brightcove

Navigate to the Brightcove Live module.

Click Create Event.

Step 2- Configure the Event in Brightcove

Enter a name for the live event (required). The name of the event will display within 3Play Media later when scheduling the captioning at step 5.
Click Advanced Options and, if desired, click Create Cloud DVR.
For Input Format, keep this on the default RTMP
For Region, select a location nearest to you.

Click Create Event.

Step 3- Log into 3Play Media

Log into the 3Play Media account system

Step 4- Navigate to Live Auto Captioning Module

Navigate to the Live Auto Captioning module within your 3Play Media project.

Step 5- Within 3Play Media Click Schedule Live Captions 

Step 6- Select Brightcove, and choose desired Brightcove event

Check the box next to the live event that was scheduled within Brightcove in steps 1-2.
Enter the Event Start Time for the live event and then click Schedule Events.

Once Schedule Events has been clicked the page will redirect to the Live Auto Captioning module.
