Once the Live JW Player event has been scheduled, follow the steps below to schedule Live Auto Captioning for the Live Event within 3Play Media.
Events are scheduled using EST unless the Time Zone Module has been activated and a new timezone has been configured at the user level.
Step 1- Add Stream URL
Paste the URL that will be streaming the video. It must have an audio signal and be accessible by our system.
Please note: The URL must begin with "rtmp://" or "rtsp://". The RTMP stream captures the source video which allows for additional services to be ordered. If an RTSP stream is used, additional services can be ordered once the source media has been added to the file.
Some RTMP streams do require a key and this can be added to the RTMP Key field:
Step 2- Select Event Start Time
Click the calendar icon to choose the MM/DD/YYYY and HH:MM:SS of the event. The time will automatically be set to the current time but can be manually edited within the field.
Please note: The live event must be scheduled at least 15 minutes prior to the event start time and it is editable up until 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
Step 3- Set a Target Maximum Delay
Drag the dial button to the right of the screen to increase the Target Maximum Delay and to the left of the screen to decrease the Target Maximum Delay in milliseconds. This sets a delay between the stream we receive and the captions we output. The more the delay, the more accurate the output.
Please note: Do not delay the stream provided to us.
Step 4- Filter Possibly Offensive Words
Select from the following options from the dropdown menu: None, Normal, High, or Strict to filter possibly offensive words.
Please contact your Account Manager for more information about this setting.
Step 5- Set Event Wait Time
Enter an amount of time in minutes for our system to wait after the event has started if there is no audio.
Step 6- Set Event Max Time
Enter the duration in minutes of the live event to be live auto captioned.
Step 7- Add File Name (optional) & Click Submit
Edit the file name if desired, if not, the default file name will be "Live Stream at MM/dd/yyyy, hh:mm:ss AM/PM". Click Submit to schedule live auto captioning for the event.
Once the event is scheduled, the embed code for the Live Auto Captioning plugin will be immediately available to be added to the live event page.
Step 8- Copy Embed Code
Please note: This embed code only contains the text/captions and not the video.
