JW Player Live Auto Captioning: Schedule Live Auto Captioning within 3Play Media

Once the Live JW Player event has been scheduled, follow the steps below to schedule Live Auto Captioning for the Live Event within 3Play Media.

Events are scheduled using EST unless the Time Zone Module has been activated and a new timezone has been configured at the user level

Step 1- Add Stream URL

Paste the URL that will be streaming the video. It must have an audio signal and be accessible by our system.

Please note: The URL must begin with "rtmp://" or "rtsp://". The RTMP stream captures the source video which allows for additional services to be ordered. If an RTSP stream is used, additional services can be ordered once the source media has been added to the file.

Some RTMP streams do require a key and this can be added to the RTMP Key field:

Step 2- Select Event Start Time

Click the calendar icon to choose the MM/DD/YYYY and HH:MM:SS of the event. The time will automatically be set to the current time but can be manually edited within the field.

Please note: The live event must be scheduled at least 15 minutes prior to the event start time and it is editable up until 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

Step 3- Set a Target Maximum Delay

Drag the dial button to the right of the screen to increase the Target Maximum Delay and to the left of the screen to decrease the Target Maximum Delay in milliseconds. This sets a delay between the stream we receive and the captions we output. The more the delay, the more accurate the output.

Please note: Do not delay the stream provided to us.
